Your most embarrassing date moment?
For our first date, I took her to the top-floor balcony of Los Angeles City Hall, which has a great view of the skyline. The atmosphere seemed pretty romantic, so I tried to take her hand, but she confessed, "Sorry, I've got a boyfriend. I just really wanted to see the view!"
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
My service to the city of Los Angeles as Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's senior energy advisor. I was a small part of a tremendous effort by the Mayor's Office, the local utility, and our passionate constituents to reduce LA's greenhouse gas emissions more than any other city in the country and do our part to combat climate change.
