Your most embarrassing date moment?
My grandmother lived in the apartment above me when I first moved to Boston, and any time a date dropped me off there was always a very real possibility of an encounter. What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my year teaching English in Turkey as part of the Fulbright exchange program. Although I had some student teaching experience prior to my Fellowship, nothing could have prepared me for my year teaching intensive English to medical students at Akdeniz University in Antalya. Even more important than their improved grammar and vocabulary, were the life-long friendships I formed with the students and the cultural exchange (and negotiation) that occurred each day in my classroom. My time in Turkey certainly influenced me to pursue a career in international education and travel.
