Your most embarrassing date moment?
After a great first date, I drove her back to her car which was in a parking garage. We kissed, said good night, and she got into her car. As I was backing out, I waved to her and smiled, acting all cool until — boom — I hit the parking garage pole with the side of my car and took off my side mirror. I couldn't just keep driving away since she saw everything, so we both got out of our cars and assessed the damage. I had to play it off like it wasn't a big deal, but I was mortified. The mirror was hanging on by a couple wires and there was a huge dent in the side of my car.
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
Starting a company from scratch that people really love and need. I had started a couple companies before Branch Metrics, but none of them solved a core problem or had the right product-market fit. After a couple years, my co-founders and I stumbled upon an idea that's a revolutionary mobile technology that's solving major pain points for marketers and developers. We've built the team from 4 to 35 in 12 months, and it's been an awesome ride. It's amazing to build something that people need and love and that touches a hundred million people on a daily basis.
