Your most embarrassing date moment?
On our second or third time out together, my date and I escaped the city for lunch in Tiburon. After we ate, we took a stroll along the water, and I noticed a man in the distance pushing a baby stroller on roller skates. I laughed, until he got closer and I realized… it was my dad. He lives in Sausalito with my two younger half-siblings, so it wasn’t out of the question to run into him. But when he rolled up, neither of his children were in the stroller. It was a medicine ball, which he picked up and tossed to my date, yelling “catch!” Apparently a weighted stroller was his newest exercise experiment.
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
My proudest (and scariest) decision was leaving an established position in content and marketing to pursue a more hands-on creative path. Establishing my career as an artist has taught me so much about myself, about building a business, about being patient and persistent. I am continually wowed by the immense support I receive from family, friends, and even kind strangers. It keeps me driven and inspired.
