Your most embarrassing date moment?
Once I took a girl I was really excited about for a ride in a classic TV show car I was driving. I'm feeling great and think I'm looking cool when suddenly we stall out and the car won't start. Turns out "classic" means the gas gauge isn't always accurate and the car had run out of gas. Nothing quite like asking your beautiful date to help you push the car across a few lanes and a busy intersection so you can refuel at a gas station. Luckily she was a great sport, but after that I never let the car go under half a tank!
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
I've been fortunate to have been a part of some very special television shows but I would have to say that directing my first episode of The Office and directing my last episode, the penultimate hour-long that helped wrap up the series, are career highlights that I will cherish forever. Getting to work with such a talented and generous cast and crew and having their faith and trust placed in me, along with the audience appreciating the shows we made together as a team, reinforced why I love working in television and movies in the first place and to always strive to do the best work you can do and never settle for anything less.
