Worst pre-Hinge date?
I’ve actually never gone on a really terrible date. But one time, Mark Zuckerberg asked me out on a double date with his wife and a friend of theirs — no pressure, right? It turned out I already knew the other guy (we were in the same 1st grade class) and sparks just didn’t fly, but at least it was fun!
You recently co-founded an organization within San Francisco’s Human Rights Watch. What will you be working on?
It’s new, but I’m really excited to have started the HRW Young Professionals Network with a friend from Brown. As background, HRW is one of the world’s leading independent organizations dedicated to defending and protecting human rights. They scrupulously investigate abuses, widely expose the facts, and pressure those with power to secure justice.
The network we’ve created nurtures the next generation of philanthropists by hosting events to generate support for the organization and its mission. We’re excited to be hosting a March happy hour in the Mission, where we’ll hear from a HRW researcher who works on U.S. immigration and border policies. I can’t wait to meet other young people in San Francisco who are passionate about supporting such a great cause!
