Your most embarrassing date moment?
No joke, I once went on a date with a kleptomaniac. While we were walking from the bar to our table, he reached into my coat pocket and took my wallet. I caught him doing it, confronted him about it, and he denied it, which was super awkward. The date never really recovered. Later that night I felt bad because I thought it might have been a joke gone wrong or something. But a few months later I was telling a friend about the story... he had the same thing happen to him, and turns out it was the exact same guy!
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing over the past few years to help small businesses recover from the financial crisis. When I worked in DC, I got to play a role in creating policies that helped small businesses get easier access to credit. And now, at Fundera, we’ve built an online marketplace that makes it easier for small business owners to compare all their credit options on one site.
