Your most embarrassing date moment?
Post college, I went out with a girl I'd known vaguely from school. I had run into her at the grocery store, she got my phone number, and about a week later asked if I wanted to grab dinner. Seemed casual. We get to the restaurant and are seated at a 4 person table, which I dismiss because it isn't that crowded. We both order drinks, but when the waiter comes back, she starts stalling, saying she can't decide on what she wants for dinner. Twenty minutes go by, I'm sipping my second drink, and suddenly she shouts, "Mom! Dad!" and WAVES HER PARENTS OVER. I still think this is just a coincidence, but then they introduce themselves and sit down with us! Her mom proceeds to wink at me, saying "we've heard so much about you!" I'm trying to avoid freaking out, so just go along with it and order food. As I'm sipping my next well-needed drink, her mom looks at me and says, "you told us your boyfriend was attractive, but prrrrrr." Yes, this girl's mother purred at me. I've never started "dating" someone and broken up with them so fast in my life.
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
Other than being an integral part of a number of huge software deals, I'm most proud of having the ability to work with and mentor new solutions engineers when they start at Genesys. I love seeing people around me succeed!
