Your most embarrassing date moment?
I was on a date at a sushi restaurant and my date and I decided it would be ‘fun’ to dare one another to eat a ball of wasabi. We counted down, a lump of wasabi between our chopsticks, 3…2…1... and instantly, my sinuses began to burn and tears began to flow. I looked up and saw my date sitting there with his wasabi still neatly between his chopsticks. The jerk didn’t even do it! I started laughing (while still crying and coughing from the wasabi), which triggered my date to start laughing uncontrollably too. Our server stopped by for a check-in right then, and we basically just sat there and laughed in his face — neither of us could get a word out. Poor guy turned around and never came back. He even had the hostess drop off our bill. .
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am currently spearheading our company's first-ever corporate volunteer initiative. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day of life, and I think it is incredibly important to take a step back to remind ourselves of all we have to be grateful for, and take the time to help those who are less fortunate. Through our work so far, Vibes has now allocated employees with two days to dedicate to volunteering. First, all employees will now receive an additional PTO day to spend volunteering with a charity or organization of their choice. Second, Vibes is designating a company-wide volunteer day where the whole company is excused from the office and invited and encouraged to volunteer together for a cause of our choosing. We are super excited to put this initiative in motion!
