Your most embarrassing date moment?
Well, a few months back I met a girl at a masquerade ball. She was dancing with a group of friends and wearing a mask, but she held herself with such confidence and energy that she immediately caught my eye from across the room. I made my way over and had to pass a few tests before her entourage let me meet her. After dancing for a bit, we had a chat outside and I asked her for her number. The next week we decided to meet up. One small problem: I wasn’t sure how we’d really recognize each other without our masks. I ended up doing a confused few laps around the place before she finally had to stand up and flag me down – she was beautiful, but I was incredibly embarrassed for not being able to recognize her.
What career accomplishment are you most proud of?
It was a real honor to join the McKinsey partnership. It was a proud moment and incredibly humbling. I grew up at the firm and joined in San Francisco as an analyst after a few years of working as an engineer. I feel enormous gratitude for all the people it took to make it a reality, and lucky to be at a place where I can pursue my passions around the world, while also helping drive change and building a true family of clients, colleagues and friends.
